this trick is accomplished.
After your first experience with the trick, I want you to list many ways which
you think this might work.
Can you test these hypotheses?

You should turn in a write up which contains: your preliminary guesses as to how
this works, the experiments that you did to test these, the results of these
experiments, and your interpretations of this data. A logical approach to
solving this problem needs to be displayed for full credit. DO NOT
look this problem up on the web in an effort to get the "right
answer." I am looking for clear thought, not necessarily the
"right answer."
I want you to apply the same level of rigor that you should be doing in class to
this assignment.
